simulating connection speeds

Does anyone know of a utility or something that can slow down your connection speed. I am connected to the internet with a DSL line and I'd like to get a feel for how my sites load on modem connections. Is there some kind of software out there that can slow my connection down to simulate a modem connection?

Thanks,
SamJust post in the website review section. I got a 56k, I'd be glad to give you some input. Thanks, I'll do so in the next couple of days or so. I'm working on some sites that I feel will take forever to load on modem connections. But my client is so in love with animated GIF files and rollovers.if your developing locally, and using IIS... you can enable bandwith throttling to simulate slower connectins.
also, coldfusion studio can give you the 'document weight' (tools, document weight). It will get the filesize of your scripts/ html/ and images and estimate how long it would take various modem users to Download your page.actually I think (and this might be the best thing in it) that Frontpage has something donw towards the bottom that show how fast it would go on various modem speeds. but if you don't have that or don't use it (I don't blame you) I think you can goto websitegarage.com and they have a tool that checks it for speed. but I just saw it and it is closed. so try this place http://www.netmechanic.com/
