shoutbox on everypage??

Search the forums, and better yet try the read me as I am pretty sure it is covered in there. Simply insert the forumhome template edit into the navbar instead. Although there is a setting in the admin cp->vb options->Inferno Shout in which you can enable it on every page so the template edit may not be required.

As I have used VBshout since it has come out (I have it licensed on 3 forums), I can tell you it requires 2 edits.
It is not only in the read me but it also tells you in the admin panel:
Specify which scripts the shoutbox is shown on. Note, not only will the script need listing here, but the following code will also need to be on a template within that page:
<!--{%SHOUTBOX%}-->
Seperate each script with a comma.
So to display in your forum index, you go into your forumindex page & under the nav bar add: <!--{%SHOUTBOX%}-->
You also need to add the script your adding the shoutbox too. I have mine under: index, forumdisplay, search
