I was wondering if it is possible to write a shell script that would connect to a mysql server and rename a table then create a new table. If it is possible could someone point me in the right direction on where to find info on this, i am pretty sure the server that i am on is not capable of running shell scripts written in php so that was out of the question, but as i said i just need to know if it is possible.
