Sever Management Companies (That aren't PSM)

Hi All,Anyone got an recommendations for a server management company. We're currently with PSM but things aren't working out for us so we're looking to switch.I've got 2 servers needing managing, both Unix with Cpanel/WHM/etc.I've heard mixed reviews about a company called seeksadmin and they're quite steeply priced? Considering the thing we need help with most is installing/configuring software (such as extensions for PHP, Apache, etc) and they appear to charge a fee ontop of the monthly for this - we wouldn't be too keen to go with them. What about other providers? Are there any others out there that aren't just reselling PSM and SeeksAdmins services? We're currently with PSM but things aren't working out for us so we're looking to switch.

I'm not aware of any dissatisfied customers at the moment, so I'm a bit surprised to hear this all of a sudden. I'm unable to find any account that matches your name, please open a ticket to the Feedback department to let me know what issues you are having so we can sort them out, I'm sure we can take care of whatever the issue is if you give us a chance.Just as a note about us, we dont charge more for installing 3rd party software or configuring software.ive used psm and seeksadmin (for my noncp servers)

i never had a problem with psm, a ticket never took longer than they say it would, and every problem is solved to my liking

seeksadmin on the other hand, tickets take much longer, sometimes days with no replies, and half the time the replies were just wrong. i used them a while ago and from the reviews here they got worse since then, since they started outsourcing there own support to india, i would stay far away from them. i have nothing againts india at all, but why would i go to a support provider that is outsourceing there own support ?!Hi All,

I dont know why your having bad experiences with PSM. I'm with them now and they are friggin great. Can't go wrong and you would be stupid to switch. $29 a month for your first server $19 a month for your other servers. Techs around the clock, all usa based. C'mon.. You can't go wrong with that. I would suggest you open a ticket, explain what you are un happy about and they'd be on it like a fat kid and sweets. Its just that simple my friend.I was just looking for an old threat listing SM companies since I'm not happy with my current one. Heck I wont even state their name. This is a huge flame war between an stubborn typo kid and seeks admin. Can we have an op in here moderate this so we can get some sort of idea what SM companies are out there? This is totally off topic! Can we have an op in here moderate this so we can get some sort of idea what SM companies are out there? This is totally off topic!
At your service :wht:

Hopefully you will get some real help now :)I dont know why your having bad experiences with PSM.
As we discussed before, no company suits every single person on planet earth.Hi All,What about other providers? Are there any others out there that aren't just reselling PSM and SeeksAdmins services?Me too. I am looking for other ones.I recommend checking with the actual hosts of the dedicated servers you use. Some of them have the NOC and staff to manage servers at various tiered pricing levels. It's also 24/7 on site support which can prove quite useful when management companies and datacenters start pointing the finger at one another when a problem arises.I've heard that Thinksupport.net are good at both level2 and level3 management.

I am not working with them personally ,but you may check them out :)

But generally would suggest to follow on dspkable (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.webhostingtalk.com/member.php?u=161280">http://www.webhostingtalk.com/member.php?u=161280</a><!-- m -->)'s recommendation, Simply choose an provider that combines the fully managed service with the servers.

Good Luck!Is there any SMC that supports Plesk and is in the same pricerange as PSM?If you dont need 24x7 access maybe you could think about hiring a person that has the experience from the job wanted section of the forum, it dont sound like you need a full time company, it seems like you need contract type work.Just my 2cWay 2 thumbs up for <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.admingeekz.com/As">http://www.admingeekz.com/As</a><!-- m --> we discussed before, no company suits every single person on planet earth.

Would they however work for someone one mars though ?

Try <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://jonesolutions.com/">http://jonesolutions.com/</a><!-- m --> , just have few problems with their cron settings not able to work on server and not doing weekly or bi-weekly audits, but thats ok as long as server is working ok.

I am sure they are better than PSM and Seeksadmin have tried both, first one i only reached upto the stage of getting a refund, second managed to keep my server offline cause their linux administrator had no clue how to setup a custom kernel :D

So far no major issue with jones however, just they are not proactive as i thought they would be.

Cheerseasyservermanagement.com works great for us!What ever it is dont go to seeksadmin.com for any service unless you want headache and want to lose money. Want proof PM meWait, here you were recommending them <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?p=4788705#post4788705">http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthrea ... ost4788705</a><!-- m --> :confused:People change and review change from time to time mr. mouse :)People change and review change from time to time mr. mouse :)

Even if the post date is the same ? :DEven if the post date is the same ? :D

Yes, cause in a second world can be flipped upside down, well i can atleast flip my snow globe earth upside down in 1 second :DPeople change and review change from time to time mr. mouse :)
I do believe that would be Mrs. (or Miss) Mouse, unless da Mouse grew some parts recently (been playing in radiation vats again?)

Seriously, though, if all you're after is a list of companies, look here (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.webhostingtalk.com/wiki/Server_management">http://www.webhostingtalk.com/wiki/Server_management</a><!-- m -->). If you're after reviews, prepare for the same old same old, cuz it's always going to be this way. A good number of providers get left out of the same old, same old, not because of anything but the fact that they aren't as "cool" as the rest, or as "popular" as them, which really is a shame.Seriously, though, if all you're after is a list of companies, look here (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.webhostingtalk.com/wiki/Server_management">http://www.webhostingtalk.com/wiki/Server_management</a><!-- m -->). And as the thread has been hanging around awhile, I'm guessing the OP has made a choice by now :)
