I am looking for good company which offers *FULL* server management without control panel ... including all small and big stuff.
small stuff setting up domains, emails account (dont know how to do it myself with a CP), setting up backup and bigger stuff like mysql, apache optimization etc etc.
Thanks,Hi,I suggest that you check out the Offers Section or the Wiki for the list of Management Company and email them if they can manage without control panel as not all companies do this. You can also post in the System Management Request.Regards,BobbyServer wizard and logic support have been recommender highly lately (here at WHT) and don't require a panel ^^ do a search for reviews Haven't tried logic support, but server wizard is quite good (response time, fixing complex issues from the 3 weeks I've been with them)I would email the companies with a list of questions before contracting any of them and see which gives you the best vibe ^^(dont know how to do it myself with a CP),
Its easier using a cp Its easier using a cp
i would guess so... but but but... it also takes up precious system resource. and when you are on a budget it starts hurting.i would guess so... but but but... it also takes up precious system resource. and when you are on a budget it starts hurting.
Does it take a lot of system resource?
How much can it effect your costing if you do not use control panel?Does it take a lot of system resource?
control panels take up quite a bit of resources... specially with all its extra bells and whistles which most users dont even know exists.

thats another thing i am trying to find out.some providers do provide license for free or for a nominal monthly charges. And moreover if you are running a server with 1 Gb Ram minimum, you should not have any problems in running a cp as apache and mysql are the major cpu users and not the control panel servicesPersonally I also prefer to manage my systems from the command line instead of wasting resources for running a CP. Not all CPs use a lot of resources, but of course the additional comfort always comes with some overhead.I believe that CPs are great for beginners, and they also have their benefits when having to perform the same actions again and again. But for the latter, scripting is usually an even better and more flexible option.I'd also recommend to have a look in the offers forum or to post a request by yourself. I'm sure that many management companies can offer it.Yes, but in the case of the OP - he doesn't know how to do any of this stuff so he is looking to hire an admin to do it for him. It would be cheaper, in my opinion, to hire a server company to manage a cPanel server than to manage a non-control panel server. Why? Because they'll have to do everything manually for the OP, like setting up email accounts, which will drive up the costs.--TinaAH-Tina is right, it would be cheaper because in the time it would take one average person to create an email account through command lines, they panel could create 5 with just the web. Although if you are using this for personal use, or are planning to manage the server yourself, and you know what you are doing. Well, then if you don't need the CP, don't use the CP.
For me, it is either use a CP, or get remote user interface access. (Like windows remote desktop)I think you can go ahead with a CP like LxAdmin, it takes very less resources (8-32 MB RAM).I tihnk touchsupport.com are doing this to a low cost.If the purpose is to host just few domains then it is cheaper not to have Cp and just get a management, but if will host several domains, then it is wise to have a CP and a management at the start until you are comfortable with your skills.Regards,Bobby
