These guys used to be good in the very beginning but lately their service has sucked. My sites have been down constantly and sometimes for months before I notice they are down... (isnt' this what they're supposed to be preventing?)

I am now looking at my legal options as they have cost me loses of $XX.XXXThat company must hav been a new company that had only got one server or something. As they got more customers, they could not accomadate them and give quick support.ServerWizards is not a new company. Most likely, you cannot take any legal action for compensation due to downtime because almost every web hosting company has a no liability statement in their terms of service. What is interesting is that your sitse are making thousands and you did not notice that they were down for months? These guys used to be good in the very beginning but lately their service has sucked. Your sites and entire server have been down due to hardware failures and we've tried to resolve it with your datacenter however they refused to replace hardware for you and server kept going down. We couldn't do anything more and we told you about it.Sounds to me the fault should be on your datacenter if the prior statement is true. However, let's continue hearing the other side. They where very fast last week, yesterday I was told to hang on for a minimum of 1hour as he was busy. They never seem to be fixing problems fully but leaving a trial of mess on there way out. Which they are then slow in fixing. They where very fast last week, yesterday I was told to hang on for a minimum of 1hour as he was busy. You are not even our monthly management client but you come to us whenever you have problems. You can't expect us to fix them within 5 minutes everytime as we have monthly management clients who are higher priority for us.Maybe if you arnt busy now, you could take alook at my ticket. I am interested in paying for managment monthly if it is going to be faster.Issue fixed, thanks guysServerwizards is working very good for me.

This week they trace php spammers on busy server in matter of 10 minutes after opening ticket.

Some other company's takes at least several hours to do same kind of job :)Serverwizards is working very good for me.

The time it takes to do such a job depends on *many* factors and as such you cannot do an accurate comparison.Honestly I am going to take serverwizards side on this. If you are losing that much money why in the world are you using a budget management service that does not have physical access to your servers? You need to be at a place like rackspace that will do management and have acess to your hardware.

To steven-v, spam detection depends on many factors, you could have an obvious explaination for it such as a binary in /tmp for example or you could have a obsecure webform being used for spam.ServerWizard's monitoring works perfectly and they are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure their chilents' uptime. You shouldn't blame ServerWizards for your datacenter refusing to replace hardware. You should be calling you DC and yelling at them. ServerWizards does a great job and our server has 100% uptime. I hope you reconsider your opinion on them.sometimes for months before I notice they are down...

If your sites are important why does it take you months to notice they are down?

as they have cost me loses of $XX.XXX

Why are you using a budget company? Let's face it, the only person at fault here is you.

I am now looking at my legal options

All I will say is to the flock of people who always have such comments: boring

-ScottWe have used ServerWizards a while for some of our clients, and they have been very good. I've dealt with Martin from the company mainly, but they have always been very nice polite and good at their job. Should anyone be considering them they should be aware that they are a good company.I used them in the pass to setup XPanel and a server, they never tested to ensure it was working, and I had an overall awful experience with them, it took over 2 weeks to get a partially working server setup. Platinum, however has been very helpful.ServerWizards aren't a new company, I used them a few years ago and I know they were atleast 3 years old then.I'm with Server Wizards for almost three years and they manage 7 server of mine.
I open at least one ticket per day and I always have a feed back a few minutes later with the issue fixed.

They admin my servers but cannot do much about my relation with my Data Center cause this is MY responsibility.

You should know what is your responsability and what are their.

Sorry for my englishI have been watching this thread for a couple of days. I've been using ServerWizards for almost a year now, and their support is excellent.... I think for the price they provide the best service out there. I've submitted over a hundred tickets to them, and the vast majority have been solved within 20 minutes. Sometimes more complex problems take more time, but overall I don't really have any complaints about the speed. For $75/month per server somtimes I feel like I'm stealing from them because of the number of issues they help with!If I had to look for a negative, it would be the helpdesk software that they use.. kind of crappy - would be nice if they used something more modern.because I don't need a full time admin. I don't submit that many tickets and they are both equally responsible in this case. I'm sure there are alot of ppl who abuse the service and submit tickets to setup new things every minute.I am going to have to side with ServerWizards as well. They have showed us nothing but EXCELLENT service. We plan on using them on many more servers and the monthly plan.

Way to go ServerWizards!!!I love people who claim to loose tens of thousands of dollars from downtime, yet they invest the BARE minimum for hosting operations.

Classic :)Mods please close this thread.

As I mentioned before I don't need a full time admin.i have a question about the response time, because i used them last year, and they was slow(maybe because they have a lot of customers and offcourse, as a customer i'm always expect quick service) anyway the did a good job with my server, i would like to read more reviews positive or negativeWe've been using ServerWizards for a year now, and have been very happy. They have always been very quick to respond to our inquiries, and have always had our issues resolved just as fast.If I had to look for a negative, it would be the helpdesk software that they use.. kind of crappy - would be nice if they used something more modern.

That would be the only con I can come up with. That would be the only con I can come up with.
*sigh* I've been trying to get Martin to use a REAL billing system and a better support system since I started using them 2 years ago...

EDIT: If Martin (@ ServerWizards) sees this -- REMINDER from Nick...get a real billing system ;)don't you mean MarCin? :DI wonder how many times a day people call him Martin hahadon't you mean MarCin? :D

I wonder how many times a day people call him Martin haha
He calls himself Martin...lol...I think he spelled it wrong on PayPal

He knows who I am tho ;). We have virtual drinks together (AKA Sending each other the beer emoticon over MSN) lolI've had an extremely bad experience with serverwizards.com over the past day or two. I only signed up yesterday after confirming my requirements for Linux support with them, receiving various promises and then having them all instantly broken, not to mention the issue not solved which turned out to be something very simple! I've asked for a refund, which is more than fair for the incredibly low level of service I received on a reasonably urgent item. Hoping for resolution by the end of the day, if I don't receive that I'll post the gory/boring details :(Hello!

I dont know what their criteria is for choosing clients to serve properly but my experience with them was pretty aweful. I stayed with them for 2 months hoping they improve their level of support and thinking there really was a problem as they said. Before going for them, I explored these forums extensively before I choose them. I am developing some web services including an ecommerce site. All I wanted was someone to keep the server up to date with my requirements while I could focus on development. Once I go live, I can afford to go with someone like Rackspace but until then management services like ServerWizards is the choice. Here is my experience with them.

I asked them to do 3-4 simple tasks;
- Shift me from SendMail server to any other that supports full virtaul mail hosting.
- Install SSL certificate for an ecommerce site that I am developing.
- Install some libraries for PHP module and SSL support.

All these tasks are pretty simple and could be done away with in 2 days max. The only one they complete was installation of libs. They took around 5-6 weeks for other two but were never able to complete them.

"Your sites and entire server have been down due to hardware failures and we've tried to resolve it with your datacenter however they refused to replace hardware for you and server kept going down. We couldn't do anything more and we told you about it."

They told me there was a problem with my SSL certificate and I should contact RapidSSL from where I obtained my certificate. Well, after I got rid of them, it took me two hours to fix everything. Issue is I am a developer and would like to focus on that. I can ofcourse manage the server myself for tasks I gave them. But I wanted to start on the right foot with server security etc as I enter web services domain.

In short Server Wizards sucks big time. The lucky ones who got good service from them, perhaps either you are too good to actually need them or are not good enough to understand their lame excuses.

Regards
NaumanI have used ServerWizards for more than a year now and I simply couldn't run my website without their fantastic help. Any query is always actioned within a matter of minutes. They administer four dedicated servers for me and they do a great job, I would certainly recommend them to anyone needing server admin services.I havent had a problem with SW since I have been with them. They keep my high traffic sites running fast all the time, and if it slows down they fix it in a matter of minutes just like Andy Groom said. I enjoy their service and glad to be one of their clients. These guys used to be good in the very beginning but lately their service has sucked. Serverwizards have been managing some of our clients server for the past 6 months and all the clients are happy with their service. Always quick to reply and fix issues. If your datacenter didn't want to replace the hardware, what can they do? You need to talk to your datacenter and stop blaming serverwizards.I previously used server wizards for a hosting project we ran from Japan, we successfully sold this , partly thanks too serverwizards as they maintained our servers so well that we had nothing but good reviews.

After we sold, we stayed with server wizards, not for hosting servers, but for our company servers and sorts, I have had 1 complain in 2 years time and that turned out to be due to my own mistakes that messed some things up.

Not often do you find a company that loves what they do so much that they actualy become part of your team... sometimes you yell and scream... sometimes they do... in the end, never had a moment of downtime for any other reason then a planned reboot....

Highly recommended,
