Hi readerI'm launching a few websites and I have two questions about page ranking:1- Is it important the server's physical location for page ranking purposes?2- And the domain name ".co.uk" versus ".com" ?Any answers would be great!ThanksJoAs far as I know neither of those things make a difference as to when any of the bots crawl the site.google detirmnine the location of the site for country specific searches by looking at the location of the server. The TLD has no effect.Pagerank is not related to the TLD nor the server location, if you mean SERPS as in the ranking of your websites in google then location of the server and the TLD .co.uk or .com does influence your rankings to an extent. If you wish to perform well in google.co.uk there are a few things you should try to do;1/ Make sure the server is physically located in the UK - choosing a UK company is not enough, you have to check the server location.2/ Use the .co.uk domain - the TLD does have an effect if you are trying to rank on google.co.uk3/ Concentrate on getting backlinks from other .co.uk domains in your genre.Pagerank is not something you should dwell on too much as it has limited value
