I have recently been working a search term for a company that I work for. The search term was "vendor screening" and we are bouncing between 11-12 in the results.
I use iGoogle as my default homepage. This week I noticed that the search term, when looked up on my iGoogle page, was coming up #1. Naturally I was excited.
However when the keyphrase is looked up in Google on another computer, it's still showing as 11-12?
I can't seem to find any information on why results would differ from iGoogle to Google? Does anyone have any insight into this or links where I can get some additional information? I originally thought it was a cache issue but it's not - there's a definite discrepancy in results between iGoogle and Google which I've never noticed before... *argh*
Thanks! You are likely seeing personalized search results based on your search history in iGoogle.
