SEP Tips from Webmaster Guru

Hi Webmasters:

I have been online a few years and still can not understand clearly about how SEO works.

I write at least 3 articles to post on my blog for one site and submit to 7 social bookmarking sites.
At the same time write 3 different articles to submit to about 30 article directories for this site.

Each article directory I will have 3 links multiply by 30 = 90 links.

However, this site does not get indexed for some keywords. My site is about 2 years old.

--------
I also have another site that I use the same method and write ONLY 1 article a month and do the same.
This site gets good traffic for some keywords than that other site that I write 3 articles monthly.

---------

Why is that? I do not understand how SEO works.

Please advice.

Your comment/suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks very much and have a nice day. Search Engines Don't like spamming! make sure, you are not involved in spamming of keywords, content and etc.,... I wondered the same thing myself and I wonder how I can be doing a lot less contributing on one site and it ranks higher SEO is voodoo. :~)
No really, some things don't make sense. It could be the competiveness of the keywords; the less competitive kw/site ranks higher quicker because of lack of competition. There's almost no telling without taking a look under the hood. Are they all original content articles or are they PLR?

Don't give up on SEO. It's worth all the effort, even if it doesn't make sense.

PS--is this the PrettyJenny that does custom Wordpress design??? What is your websites PR? Well, traffic really depends on your niche. What are the keywords you're targetting? Are there people searching for that terms? You should give importance to the keywords you put on your content. I suggest you begin first with keyword research then everything follows. try other way of gathering links.. according to goolge quantity, quality and relevancy of a link count towards site rankings.. SEO is a continuous process and it al depends upon your site. one thing should be kept in mind.

Content is the King be careful when doing it.. I think you should diagnose your site structure, domain name, and other internal factor. I can help you to. PM me your website URL and your targetted keyword. Are the topic of both sites the same? have you check your keywords and the content of your site's pages. are your META description, keywords , title have pass the standard of SE guidelines
