how do you like to sell whatever your selling through Paid traffic or SEO traffic? Paid traffic is usually forced traffic unless it's through Adwords or something.
Forced traffic is not good traffic since users just close your website afterwards.
What I mean by paid traffic is e.g. link shorteners which require you to view a website before it takes you to your desired website. paid traffic is good if you want to know straight away whether your product or services is in demand. a big factor in making the sale is the effectiveness of your landing page. with paid traffic you can make the necessary changes on your landing page and know instantly, through paid traffic, whether those changes convert.
whereas with SEO, it takes a while to get really good rankings and with the constant changes Google does to its ranking algorithm, it's getting harder to get that top spot. but the beauty about SEO is that once you get the ranking and the traffic you want, then you don't have to spend for your website's traffic and can have the benefits mentioned with paid traffic. It really depends upon the time how much quickly you want to sell. If you want to achieve in quick time then surly you need to do it paid way which is PPC but if you have good amount of time then surly go with SEO. SEO requires time but very effective.... In order to make the most of your marketing campaign, you must combine paid efforts (PPC etc) with unpaid ones (SEO)...since both have their own advantages...
Its highly recommended to test the profitability of keywords via PPC before going for SEO... so that you don’t end up wasting your efforts in SEO for keywords that do NOT convert! The most beautiful thing about SEO over anything else is that you don't have to pay for the traffic you just have to do a one time investment in SEO in terms of time or money (that's on you) and it is the most targeted traffic that you'll ever get.
