How much search volume is considered to be good.

if a keyword has 90K search volume is it good
how much traffic is expected if I am at # 1 on google second page and if I am on first page? Is that a generic match, or an exact?

90k would be HUGE and extremely competitive.

The amount of search volume which is "good" really depends on you and your niche. If you're selling a $5 ebook with a .1% conversion rate you'll need more searches than someone selling $5k watches with a 10% conversion rate. Quote: Originally Posted by Ace2110 Is that a generic match, or an exact?

If you're on the 2nd page, you're lucky to get 1% of total searches. It really isn't until you hit the top 5 that things really start to look up. One of my terms is about 12k as well, which is pretty much middle ground for most niche's.

Have you identified a series of long tail keywords? Those should be easier and traffic can add up quickly Quote: Originally Posted by Ace2110 If you're on the 2nd page, you're lucky to get 1% of total searches. It's not true for all keywords. For some keywords all people
