I"d appreciate any opinions on search engine submission. I have read about it and I'm not sure what is the correct information. Some say it is neccessary, others say it's a waste of time. I submitted 40 sites through godaddy to the top three (google, yahoo, bing). There are about 600 other search engines. It would take me 10 years to submit to them all. Do I need to resubmit every few months when I update the content or is that a waste a time? Should I even bother submitting to the smaller engines?

In my own experiences, submitting sitemap to the top 4 engines as Google, Yahoo, Bing and ASK would be OK for SEO purpose. Search engines would pick up your new sites via back links to your sites.
have a nice day, Once you have links in a few other sites, SE will get there by them self... of course you want to make your site SE friendly as possible with SEF URL, Mate tags and site map. Just stick with the main ones unless there is a specific search engine that matches your site's specific niche. According to me, Submit your site in major search engine Yahoo, Google and MSN and don't need to submit your site in search engine. if you submit one time then it's sufficient and if you worry about your site ranking then do the work for your site.

Here question is how to submit site in search engine not the inbound links. Are you sure for your this line which you write.?

Thanks Submit your site only in 3 major search engines viz. Google, Yahoo and Bing. Or submit articles in sites which are popular like ezine, goarticle.
