Search Engine Crawler Frequency

I'm curious as to how often Search engine bot crawls a site? I setup a new blog and a few weeks later most of my posts were indexed, but I changed my title description format for all posts and pages and Google hasn't crawled my pages yet.

I checked now and Yahoo has for most of them, so does yahoo crawl my site more often than google, and if so, what can i do to change this? I really need Google to crawl my site more often because I constantly make changes to content and url structure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you! It is the secret of search engine and no one can say exactly. But indexing and crawling depends on your contents. May be earlier your title and description was according to SEO that is way that time Google indexed and crawled. Hey Iver! It's good to see ya!

Guy's blog has a post that may help you with this issue.

Once the creepy crawlies start building a pattern of how often you’re updating your sites content, they’ll simply adapt and start visiting more often. Once they build that pattern into timing they’ll update your site in the indexes accordingly. Check your log files and see hoe often googlebot visits your blog. Sites with very high PR gets crawled every second. When you first start off, you're going to get a very slow crawl rate. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you! hello dude,

every person need that Google crawler come fast-fast but it's depend on your work efficiency that what do you do daily..... The blog which is provided here is really a good one. It provides a good knowledge regarding crawling and Indexing. If you had created a webmaster tool you would come to know about crawl and Indexed.
Regarding indexing, depends on algorithm of search engine. hi my brother
you should to do more works about you website——(To create more valuable content)
and after the Google crawler will come fast-fast Just make sure all of your pages can be reached by the search engines. Just because you can get to them in your browser doesn't mean their crawlers can get to them. Thank you Cricket and everyone else for the valuable input, I believe I have a better understanding, and have resolved my problem. Thanks again! I setup a blog around 4hrs ago, it already is showing 14 hits by Googlebot, has been crawled, 1 page indexed.

I am stunned. I didnt think the bots crawled that fast and in all honesty, like i said, i feel it is due to this forum because i have not been on any other forum today. Well, sure, the forum plays a role, anywhere you slap a backlink may, but you can work on the blog and train the bots to crawl and index your pages instantly (as I described in a blog post I believe Cricket linked to up there.).

Blog posts I make for example are indexed within a few seconds, to a minute at most & it's a fairly new personal blog, too. Just put your site links on high pr sites that get more visits - generally that types of site regularly put good and fresh content and the crawler comes very frequently --- in this way your site link is crawled and indexed . It depends on how often you update your site. If everytime Google sees new content they will increase the crawl rate of your site, you can always set a crawl rate on Google Webmaster tools. Sites like forums where it gets updated often get crawled within the hour. Same with Craigslist. submit your sitemap in google it iwll help in faster crawlability and also get some good links from other sites
