Hello! I have installed two scripts on a website I have created and while each works perfectly individually, when both are installed on the page, only one works. Both scripts are short and if anyone more experienced than I (read: anyone who knows anything at all about DHTML) could take a look at my problem, I would be very greatful.
Script one is a basic JavaScript rollover. Well, actually, a handful of them. Very easy to set up, works fine. However, I then installed a neat DHTML message scroller and while it works properly, the rollovers have stopped working.
I got the scroller from the following URL and customized it slightly: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex11/scrollc2.htm">http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex11/scrollc2.htm</a><!-- m -->
The URL of the page with both rollovers and scroller is <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.walczakconsultants.com/newsite/index.html">http://www.walczakconsultants.com/newsite/index.html</a><!-- m --> and you'll notice that there are four images on the top right of the page. These should roll over on mouse over. Additionally, the tabs beneath (Background, Services, etc.) should trigger the rollover of the bar beneath them (for description of the links onMouseOver). These work perfectly without the message scroller (this scroller has a header of "Message" - you'll see that at the bottom, there are two arrows for scrolling the message up and down... this works properly).
To see the rollovers in action (scroller removed from page), go here: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.walczakconsultants.com/newsite/html/without_message.html">http://www.walczakconsultants.com/newsi ... ssage.html</a><!-- m -->
While the rollovers might take a moment to load (I still need to save the images in a smaller quality level), they work properly.
So, if you can determine what the conflict is and how I can resolve it, please let me know. I would really appreciate it!
If you have any questions, post here or email me at <!-- e --><a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a><!-- e -->
