Hi guys! Ive always wondered why most web designers state that their website is 800x600 screen resolution when in fact, 800x600 is the screen area size. isn't resolution measured in dpi units as in Photoshop images?

If you design a site at 1024x768 anyone with their browser resolution set at 800x600 will have a scroll bar at the bottom of screen. <br />
<br />
Page layout is best if designed in percentages, while graphics work best when they are at least no wider than 800 so the edge of picture is not cut off.<br />
