SASS vs SCSS - Good and Bad differences

I am having a very hard time deciding what to choose. I know about the eradication of {} with Sass and I know how SCSS keeps things a little more similar to the old fashion CSS, but I am reading article after article and I can't find some critical and important reason which will change me to use SCSS or SASS. Both of them are cool, and since I am not an expert in typical CSS I don't mind learning none from scratch or whatever. What's the main difference between them, which could benefit me, and my website? Which can can make the scale tip more towards one of the sides?
