I want to know how we calculate ROI.

Are you asking ROI for SEO consulting or Marketing.
The way I look at it how much went out in expenses versus how much came in.
I then take this information and then figure out how much each customer made me.
Normally money in/money out this gives me a figure I use to judge if I am making money

ED I am asking it regarding SEO and PPC Reduced Costs – The first way a project produces returns is in the form of reduced costs. In this situation you calculate ROI using this formula:
ROI = Change in Operations Cost / Costs of Project
