rmi or ejb?

I need to remotely invoke an object. While I've done this type of thing alotwith wintel tools, this will be my first foray into distributed java.And opinions as to which path would be better/more interesting to implement- RMI or ejb? Perhaps they are not mutually exclusive?Buzzard
