Resolved: relevant META tags

All right, so I am busy creating a site with products, each on its own specific page, now I would like to know the following: Let's say I have a page with 'Orange Flavoured Ice Pops' on it, and I would like 'Orange Flavoured Ice Pops' to be one of my META tags ... Do I then put the <meta name='keywords' content='bla, bla bla, Orange Flavoured Ice Pops' /> on the home page, on the orange-flavoured-ice-pops.htm page, or on both of them? ... what would be the best practice?I would keep the meta tags relative to the page content, so if your homepage talked about orange ice pops there would be no reason you cannot put it there. I would advise not to use the same meta tags on every page though, try to keep them unique if you can.the best practice in adding keywords to meta tags is to placed it either in the meta tags title or meta keywords. Orange Flavoured Ice Pops is four phrases and you need to trim down it to single or two phrases so as to be searchable easily.<meta name='keywords' content='bla, bla bla, Orange Flavoured Ice Pops' />righteous_trespasser wrote:put it in the URL if poss ( use the ht rewrite ) And make sure it is in the title.titleH1 tagand mentioned in the body of the page more important than meta tags for google imhoSteven D wrote:are you not dynamically creating the pages? No, because they only change once every two years ... and there aren't a lot of them ...makes sense then does it righteous_trespasser wrote:Well........do not use the same meta tags on all your pages. Meta tags should be unique and relevant to each page.
