Requesting a script

I guess this is where I would request a script.

I am looking for a script like this one:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://javascript.internet.com/forms/scratch-pad.html">http://javascript.internet.com/forms/scratch-pad.html</a><!-- m -->

but instead of the notes getting mailed, I would like the notes saved to a cookie on the users computer.

Is this possible?
