I'm just getting into CSS and it would be really helpful if youse could show me what good CSS would be for one of my short template pages. :confused:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.U-E-L.com/TEMPLATE-Level-6.html">http://www.U-E-L.com/TEMPLATE-Level-6.html</a><!-- m -->

BUNI-SanHi. I'm a complete novice, myself, but in my attempts at self-education I've been looking at the different pages displayed at <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.csszengarden.com">www.csszengarden.com</a><!-- w --> for examples. It's been really helpfull so far :)

I'm not certain that answers your question but I hope it helps!404Thanks 7Clay7. I've already been to <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.csszengarden.com">www.csszengarden.com</a><!-- w --> and found some interesting layouts.

And thanks to you too, Ray326, I'll check out "Stylin' with CSS - a designer's guide".

But what I need is workable CSS code for:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.U-E-L.com/TEMPLATE-Level-6.html">http://www.U-E-L.com/TEMPLATE-Level-6.html</a><!-- m -->

BUNI-SanI repeat.

Not Found
The requested URL /BUNI-San's-TEMPLATE-Level-6.html was not found on this server.I know. I just corrected it to:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.U-E-L.com/TEMPLATE-Level-6.html">http://www.U-E-L.com/TEMPLATE-Level-6.html</a><!-- m -->

BUNI-SanNo offense, but I think you'd be hard-pressed to get someone to do the work for you!

And just some feedback - I personally would change the background if you want someone to actually read the page. It is extremely harsh on the eyes. I had to shut it after about 20 seconds and my temples are still throbbing and I see spots in my eyes from the bright colors.No offense, but I think you'd be hard-pressed to get someone to do the work for you!

It's just a short bare-bones page. I've received more coding than that on some other questions I've posted on WebDeveloper.

I sometimes work with pages like that 18 hours a day and feel just fine. But I have read something about some people who can't stand high contrast and bright colors. I guess they must really hate all the gaudy commercials on TV and love the first part of the film Pleasantville. What is the name of that condition?

I've changed the background. See if that's better.

BUNI-SanWeird, BUNI-San, link doesn't work anymore!Even weirder, this board seems to be the ONLY place that it doesn't work from. How did you do that?

BUNI-San :(I don't know! I swear it worked before! It WAS a midi music site, right? Bright red background w/ yellow music note graphics? Or did I make it all up?!?!? Am I losing my mind?"I don't know! I swear it worked before!"

It did.

Only one page was dedicated to midis - and that wasn't it. That was just a bare-bones template - no music note graphics - formerly a black bg.

BUNI-San :rolleyes:I believe I solved the mystery:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www/U-E-L.com/TEMPLATE-Level-6.html">http://www/U-E-L.com/TEMPLATE-Level-6.html</a><!-- m --> won't work, but

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.U-E-L.com/TEMPLATE-Level-6.html">http://www.U-E-L.com/TEMPLATE-Level-6.html</a><!-- m -->

does.

BUNI-San
:rolleyes:
