I can't believe I've never noticed this before. But when you search for something in google, on the results in the url for each page the parts of your search phrase that show up in the url are in bold.Does this have a significant help on your rankings? I was think about this the other day and it seemed to me that if your page url featured a search phrase, then in the code of the anchored text, the search phrase would likely appear twice ( once for the address and once for how you wanted the link to appear) I'm going to start naming newer pages more relevantly but should I go back and change old pages?well google searches for keywords in titles and <h*> tags because relevent keywords would logically be in the titles of the page. In the same way you would expect the title of the page to be sinilar to the filename/Makes sense that it would be seaching urls for ranking. It's slao more difficult to spam using urls.Yes, it just started showing them in bold recently. I am sure they were spidering the url's long before they started bolding them though, it was just a recent cosmetic change.
