Since ASP+ pages will be written in VB7, I'd like to become familiar with VB7. I checked Microsoft's products and they only list vb6. Any idea on when it's released & can I use VB6 with ASP+? The article only mentions VB7.
ThanksVisualBasic 7 (like the entire Visual Studio 7 suite, ASP+, ADO+, etc.) are all still very beta...

Microsoft has indicated that these products will ship in late Q1 2001... my money's on late Q2 2001.

So, for the time being, all of this is in the early beta testing stages. So unless you are a beta tester for these products, you cannot work with them just yet. That's one point I'd like to stress, ASP+ and the Visual Studio 7 related technologies are still at least six months away (and likely a year away). Good ol' ASP is here to stay for that time, and probably for a year beyond...You don't necessarily need to use VB7 to write ASP+ pages. You can use all the languages shipping with VB7 (C#, MC++, VB7). In addition there are about 17 other compilers that support the .Net platform and frameworks. Off the top of my head a couple that I remember are Perl, JScript, Oberon and Cobol
