According to webmaster guidelines- "Buying or selling links that pass PageRank is in violation of Google's webmaster guidelines and can negatively impact a site's ranking in search results"So how can we know that a paid link passes or does not pass page rank?... i tot nearly every link passes a page rank ... ( i think mayb so called "links that don't pass pagerank" are links mayb in the form of javascript ads etc.)again ... im not sure ... will be back to check in on others opinions with this regard ... interesting.I use a tool http://www.quirk.biz/searchstatus/ for my firefox browser, there are others out there similar for IE.The FF plugin has a "highlight nofollow links" and they change color. You could also right click the page you are buying links from and where you expect to see your link once you buy a link and see if it has the rel="nofollow" attribute in the anchor tagHope this helpsAll the bestLozI really wouldn't worry too much about buying links. If Google penalized sites for buying links, sites would start buying links for competitor's sites (fronting that they are that site)...therefore getting those sites penalized. I am guessing the only easy way is for Google to penalize sellers.
