Regarding online SERP ranking tools

Hey guys I have a question.

I've traced the IP addresses of some online SERP tools such as Rankchecker.net (69.63.218.207), GeoSEO.com (66.11.113.184), and others from several online URL to IP conversion tools (which I found when I googled for the tool). Every tool shows similar results to what is the IP of each URLs (rankchecker.net and geoseo.com). After tracing the IP, I also determine the country of each IP, also from several IP to location tools online. Then I've come to select those which are located in the USA. And when I do searches on these SERP tools, they all display the keyword rankings of our client's site in the third page (ranks 21 to 30) with only slight (only 1 to 3 spots) differences. But when I searched at home or at our office (which is not in the US country) using the international domain google.com, our client's site is ranked at 80+ in which it dropped from ranks 40+ last week. But the rankings from those SERP tools hasn't left the 20's mark up til now.

This is quite bothering because since our targets are users from the US, I could not determine whether we are doing just fine in ranking our site for our main keyword due to the differences in the SERPs. I had read in some forums that the SERP rankings do vary in different data centers even if the same international google.com domain is used for the same keyword at the same time.

If I would be basing my progress on the results from these online SERP tools, then I would say that we are doing just fine because we are ranked at 30+ in these same SERP tools last month. But if based on the SERPs in our country, then I could say that we are doing worse.

My question is: Are these online SERP tools displays 80%-100% accurate results? Can they be relied on when we are monitoring the progress of our site? Please enlighten me on this. Thanks... I am also looking for the same type of tool.
