Is it google smart to have redirect on index page?for eg.I want to be popular with keywords "imported stationery"so i put a redirect on http://www.mysite.com to redirect visitors to http://www.mysite.com/imported-stationery/page1.htmlimported stationery happens to be my forums. and it generates heaps of pages...!!!it makes sense to me.... How did you do the redirect...301, Java?havent done that yet.think of 301...Why not just get some good links to the http://www.mysite.com/imported-stationery/page1.html page. And then optimize that page for your keyphrase. This eliminates the chance of the redirect being seen as spam. You can make an interior page rank just as well as your index page if you use the same theories in building it and linking to it....your whole site will benefit...
