Hi All,

I am doing reciprocal link building for one of my website and i am getting many back links. BUt i have a problem the reciprocal link website is hosted at same IP address. there are 7 website and they has same site in terms of content but domain is different and hosted at same IP. So, is that baneficial to get link from same IP of from different IP. Please help me thanks in advance. No your are getting back link on seven website with same IP address. it's not beneficial for you because Google know each website with IP address not the domain name so Google count all sites as one site and give you value according to one back link. Thanks for the reply.
But each domain has different Page Rank, as we know page rank is distributed to all link which are placed at the web page. As far as I know google counts based on domain name, not IP.
On big hostings it could be several hundreds of websites sitting on the same physical IP.
Google works on pages, not IPs. This is why they call PR - Page Rank and not domain rank or IP rank. You will not get much value for your backlinks if multiple backlinks originate from same IP.
But it's not that you will not be benefited at all from such backlinks , You can get some value to the site linked if the content linking the site is related to the site. thanks to all,

The back links are 98% related from where i am getting link so, i can aspect that i wi rewarded by google in terms of SERP position and Page Rank. IMO you have done right in terms of reciprocal links, you will get benefits from all 7 websites Well if this is case what happened if google discovered on how do you get your backlinks, do you think the site will be de indexed or put at the sandbox?

I am afraid because i have the same way of backlinks. that will just considered as 1 backlink I believe. Just like posting many links to 1 single website = 1 single backlink. Same IP adress & same C class IP also There is no issue if we submit site in same IP address sites. To check the IP address and submit the sites is not possible. Take an example of forums. We all get backlinks from forums, multiple backlinks from the same forum, even if particular forum resides on the same IP.
backlinks are on page level, not website and not IP. You need to have variety in terms of the IP address, as such getting backlinks from different sources is key. That's why if you do article marketing in your backlinking strategy, you need to write articles for different directories.
