I get message from someone who want to link exchange with my web (http://www.baliwebsite.com) He said to make aware that recip link directories with urls that have "link" in them are penalized than if it had something like "resources" or "others". Is it true or not? because google already spider my link exchange directories but Yahoo until now only spider my main index site Is my site penalize by yahoo?What I must do? please helpYeah ... that is one of those myths that never die.All you have to do is search on "links.html" you getQuote:really, I never heard of this.links.* pages are indexed, but as to whether or not their value is passed on to pages they link to is debatable.It is generally better to use resources.html, resources.php, etc.Just because a page exists in a search engine's database doesn't mean that it will pass along any benefit to those pages it links to.Back when Google was still showing a full list of backlinks, I never once saw a URL containing links.html or links.php in those backlink SERPs.
