I have one basic question. Is it possible to rank high in google SERP for a keyword that do not exist on my website?
Can I do that just by backlink? Thanks for your help. No you can't, how can you have rankings on a word that does not even appear on your site.. are you serious? Does it exist on your web page? You must have that keyword on your page at least once. And make huge list of backlinks. Why you want to rank your irrelevant keyword on SERP. Is there something fishy

When I write a keyword on google.com, google.com places a website in which I did not find that keyword at all. How do you think TripleI? yes its possible.. try a very unique kw as your text link. But its better if you have one.. Yes I believe that's ok. You can instead use words or phrases that are relevant to your niche or what you call synonyms as Google is smart enough to identify the synonyms of the keywords. If the keyword exists on your web page , and it';s not a hard keyword then it's possible, because google will thake the sentance and put it on the "description" . If it dosen't exist on the page and don't know if it's possible With the help of off page optimization you can get some ranking but it will be totally worthless for you. It is call Goolge Bombing.
For example: it has happened to Adobe with the word "click here".
