Random content and SEO - big issue?

I just finished up the code for the portal i wrote and i set it up to show a random listing on the first page, and to sort all the others randomly. I had a huge change in layout as the old was a manual table I couldnt keep up with anymore, so I created a db of all the casinos and wrote a portal for display. Google sice placed me at a 0 PR with 0 backlinks, other engines dropped me from the first page to 3rd-4th on a few keywords. I am hoping it was the fact that I randomised the content (banners still random) and corrected that to sort the same each time now. Just wondering how long it takes google to "reconsider"Thanks!ChrisGet more back links. Random content is not a problem and if anything its good. Relevant websites will link to the relevant page on your site (you do have some static article pages dont you?).Well it seems that google and the other SE dropped most of my backilinks, over 1000 of them, google went to 0 all together. I did do a perm re-direct from the old pages, ie i had /poker.htm and redirected to /online-poker/ with an index page and I switched from index.htm to index.php on the the main page. I see I have some errors in the templates on WC3 I need to clean up but I wouldnt think that would drop me out of the whole thing lol. Thanks for the info though!-ChrisIf you got the links suddenly from only a few Class C ips then you have been sandboxed.Im not sure about the sandbox, I never really found any good details on how to determine that, but I had about 28 google links, 800+ on the others now they are down to 400's and googles at 0.My PR is 3 on the index, and forum index, 2 on other pages still.ctrenks wrote:Yeah I hope, my Pr was 3, then 0, now 3 again lol, butr I made almost a new site in place of the old one, so I may be confusing google or it did a check to see if i was altering content for SE and they caught me in the change and flagged me. Well see in a few months what happens.
