Quote question

I always use the <q> tag when putting up a quote, as is proper, even if no browser actually handles it correctly. My question is, what is the best way to denote the title of a movie? The simplest way would be to simply use the quote marks provided on the keyboard. Structurally though, I wouldn't be providing any information about what I'm putting quotes around. The <q> tag doesn't seem proper since a title is not a quotation. In XML, I could create a <movie> tag and use CSS to place quote marks on either side of the enclosed text. I'm only using XHTML, though. Perhaps a <span class="movie"> would be sufficient?<!--content-->
