Quick question for yall SEO ninjas.

I am promoting a product of my own and currently trying to build some web presence aka SEO before doing paid traffic. which of the following should I do?

Product <---content blog <---Web 2.0 properties, article directory, social bookmarking and etc <---xrumer

or

Product <---Web 2.0 properties, article directory, social bookmarking and etc <---xrumer

Is there any benefit of having that content blog or should I just build the backlink straight to the product page?

Want to get yall's opinion on this ask some of the high ranking blog to post review about ur product... this will help building web presence about ur product... u also can launch a site posting features and capability of ur products... start a contest of giveaway ur product and ask for review about it If you build a blog for the site and post related contents to the site , link the site from the blog and build back links to both site and blog you can get more return than not having the blog. Having a blog with contents will make you strong in search engines and the blog will give a backup for ranking for keywords used in your site. Hi, monali

I think if you want to use Xrumer for promotion purpose, content blogs would not be necessary. You could directly build back links to your product pages. Of course, content blog with links to your product pages would also be a nice channel for back linking purpose.

All the best, That would be could as spamming dude..

Try to use the xrummer in the web 2.0 properties and article directories, not on the main site. it works.. besides from blogging you can also try building links direct to product pages.. Doing Link Building direct to your product page is also helpful for build some web presence. I will suggest you to go for
Product <---Web 2.0 properties, article directory, social bookmarking and etc<---content blog <---xrumer linkwheel, plus social bookmarking, ping/rss. blog comment and a little directory submission. Considering the OP has a penis enlargement site in his signature, I'd love to see the high ranking blog's review of that. Quote: Originally Posted by monali Quick question for yall SEO ninjas.

IMO, Having the product is the first goal when planning to go online.

If you're looking to invest on organic traffic first before doing the paid internet exposures, I suggest that you first need to have a content for the product in order to give the possible future visitors of what is your product about before marketing it online. Afterall, what's to market if you dont have a presentation or at least a detail on how you will pursue and attract visitors, right? Although, im not recemmending or telling that you either do link building or create a blog as your first step on online promotion.

A blog is a common and good source for promoting your website. But, I highly suggest that you do both at the same time. It doesn't matter how many task you do for a specific task, like link build or on blogging, or etc. just as long as you do have link presence on all possible aspect of link exposure. As we all know organic traffic is a time process and does not happen overnight. So there's no need to rush on something that will only give you result for the future.

Let me put it this way, having just a few links to different kinds of link source is better than heavily investing on just single source of link exposure, like just focusing in blogging. This gives you more chance of targetting different kinds of internet users that most of the time surf the internet for a specific liking or purpose, like one may be found in reading articles, another could be into forum posting, another could be into reading blogs. So having just a few links but evenly spread out to different kinds of the internet exposure will surely give you more diverse audience and a possible impact of "word of mouth" towards your website.
