Hello,
I know that Javascript does not work in ebay ads but does CSS?
Thanks,
Muogin It should, since you can include it within tags and there is no security threat whatsoever.Hey, this is kind of an old post that I happened to stumble upon as I was researching something else. But I wanted to let you know that I have used CSS in an ebay listing and it did in fact work and work pretty well. You can use inline CSS, or you can also reference an external style sheet using - <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href=http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/archive/index.php/"http://arconati.us/style.css"> - and it will work.
This is a better, easier way to manage good looking eBay listings without working too hard on your template code. I don't have any current listings or I'd post an example, sorry.I know that Javascript does not work in ebay ads but does CSS?
Indeed it does. Here are two auctions that I did a while back: Lizard (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5951588665">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5951588665</a><!-- m -->) and Farm (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3777307742">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3777307742</a><!-- m -->).
I put a little write-up (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.swoofware.com/posts/2004/12/06/ebay-with-css/">http://www.swoofware.com/posts/2004/12/ ... -with-css/</a><!-- m -->) about it on my site. I haven't done anything with it since January, but I do have a pile of stuff that I need to get on ebay and I've got all the kinks worked out now, so it should go a little faster and smoother.
FYI - I don't frequent this site, so ping me on the comments page for the article above if you have comments or questions.
Have fun with it!
