Hi allThe keyword 'seawitch' now finds my site as 'Seawitchartist' on the 2nd or 3rd page of google up from 6&7 recently, I'm very happy with that, a first sale and commission to strangers have been made. What I now want to make a task of is to get it there with the key phrase 'sea witch'...splitting the word 'seawitch' makes a big difference, it finds 'Seawitchartist' on page 33 last time I checked.Being that deep in the wilderness i guess the first what ever amount of pages won't be to difficult to progress through, would it help to ask friends, I've got about a score I could call on, to access my site through that protracted route?Only once on my site is the Seawitch word split to Sea Witch...would it help to do it more often?regards.you would have been better off to split the terms sea and witch when you posted here. Give it a couple days and this post will most likely rank above yours. (don't take that as a given, it's an experiment)Hi ATNO/TWI'm sorry, but I just don't understand.Regards.He means the next time you search google for your keyword, his post will rank higher than your post, or even your own site, because Ozzu's pretty SEO solid and ranks very high in the SERPs.I get Ozzu results for my site on the second page of a Google search, and the thread is about 2 years old and has nothing to do witht he current site, just the URL I typed here once.......oh great! I thought I could have got some advice here, not pointless competition.Err, he was giving you advice. Quote:hi AlanI see, sorry if I was a bit touchy there, I got a bit irked because I've often found forum entries ahead of my website as well as old blogs of mine. That's being discussed elasewhere now. Theres a life forum ahead of me now on the strength that I made a few posts there, my online name being the only word that could have put it there, 'seawitch' is proving quite common among Pagans and non Pagans alike. Sea witch to me is a seperate search? They really are different.Anchor text. I don't want to rush into this one, it's another one of those words I'm going to have to discover, a jargon buster would come in handy! Is the that the wording in a url, I thought they couldn't have gaps?No problem, I understand, I should have been clearer...Anchor text is the phrase that you use when linking your site. See the difference in your signature and mine on this board? Your link is a straight url, but mine is readable words that link to my site. There is a difference in how these two links are seen. If I wanted to be a better SEOer, I would have used "zine distro indepednent media resource tutorials review podcast" as my anchor text instead of "Fall of Autumn."Google (and other search engines) take these words that are linked into consideration when indexing that backlink. If you do a google websearch for "fall autumn" (without the quotes), my site shows up on the first page, which is pretty impressive given the ambiguity of 'fall' and 'autumn' and my site has not a thing to do with seasons or weather or autumn. =)Code: [ Select ]You have to check strength of current top serp websites. You can do it with the help of nichewatch.comThen you should plan well to get inbound links.
