Problems with tables on a PC browser.

Hi all. I'm a newbie here so please be gentle..

Basically, I'm an industrial designer by trade and a client has this common misconception that as a 'designer' I can 'design' anything and asked me to do a website for them. Well, as i've had a go at it once or twice I just said 'Ok then."

I'm having problems with a nested table. Yeah, I know tables are BAD, but don't know how to use CSS yet and am using Dreamweaver 3 with Fireworks for Graphics.

The page itself is here....

http://members.aol.com/retrodesignx/Index.html

The problem I have is, the page is fine on a Mac in both IE 4 and higher, Netscape and AOL, but when I view it on a PC, the bottom table splits up whenever the cursor rolls over one of the navigation links.

The bottom of the table is 799 pixels long and 158 high and there is another cell after the nested table which is percentage width to allow for resizing on different monitor settings.

What's happening to it? How do I fix it?

Any help greatly appreciated!
(oh, and before anyone points it out, yeah the top image doesn't work and the links are a bit mixed up at present! )My guess its with the onmouseover img.
