Problems connecting to oracle dbase using PHP4.03

I\'ve been trying to connect to a remote oracle database using PHP4.03 for
WINNT and Apache 1.3, without success.

I get the following error message:

ORA-12203 TNS: Unable to connect to destination

I can successfully connect to the same remote database via Sqlplus and other applications.

Any suggestions ?
