Hey everyone! I've been realizing more and more how utterly stupid it is to not submit to directories immediately when trying to run a successful web business. I have money to spend on advertising, however, I better get my freebies down first. My issue is that the front page of my site is 90% pictures. I sell T-Shirts, and have the site set up to show a category of shirts when you first enter the site. The description of the shirts isn't seen until one of the thumbnails is clicked on.Anyone have any tips or tricks to help solve my problem? Here's a few things that I think will improve the SEO for your web site:1. You shopping cart's URLs are not very search engine friendly. Search engines do not like URLs with big queries on the end (http://www.jacksandjokers.com/index.php ... &Itemid=29 everything after the ? is a query). There are allot of good PHP shopping carts that convert all pages with in the cart to HTML so there are not queries and the majority of the pages have the name of the product, category and sub category in the name of the HTML page which helps get all of the shopping cart pages ranked well on search engines. You could use mod rewrite but that is not as effective.
