problem with displaying asp.net web control

Hello everyone,<BR><BR>I'm not sure if any one of you encounter this problem but it happen both on my desktop and my laptop. I have VS .net successfully install on my machines, but when I try to insert an asp button or asp drop down box, it would not display. When I tried to view it using view source in the browser, it does not complied the controls. Could anyone please help me. Thanks.<BR><BR>Johndo you have runat="server" for the controls?Yes, I have runat=server in there. <BR><BR>It's funny, because when I use the view in browser function in VS, it works. But when I click on debug and opens up a new window, it does shows anything. So, I wonder if there's something I didn't install to IIS...<BR><BR>Thanks
