Problem with Banning Users

Hello all!


I have converted my forum from SMF to VB.
Well the problem i face is that when a user requests a new password the email is sent to them.
Then they get the email with the new pass but the problem is that when they click at the link that there is at the email and they type in their username and new pass they get this message:"
You have been banned for the following reason:
No reason was specified.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never"

I am feeling so dissapointed because this is the first time i am using VB and i get so many errors...

What can i do about the problem i face??

Wow I have never heard of this before.

I would suggest turning off any & all automatic bans for now.

Example: Failed login 5 times = ban

Disable those things until you can square this away or you will be unbanning your entire forum.

what did you do to trnasfer from smf to vb for your db ? Also if need be have the emails go directly to you and you reset their passwords for now . I dont know how big of a fourm you have but it is an option. Also what version did you go to and who was it supplied by ?

I think it is because the members where at the imported usergroup and it didn't have permissions...:S:S
So i moved the users to the Registered Members usergroup...But i cannot check if it is working because this is the second day that passed since i changed my nameservers...So there is a mix up with my old and new server...:S

Guys how can i make the threads appear at each board without using the display options?
Because it blocks threads from older months and i don't want that.
I want to have at each page of my forum 30 threads..
How to do that?

use the hack Log in as user to test an account...and please re state your question or show a screen shot. What i think your asking is to show all threads no matter how old correct ?
