Now to the point.

Thanks
Daniel Keywords are the key......since that is what people search to find a product...
PR is a small factor in search ranking....there are about 200...

But reading through forums, many seem to think that PR is the magic solution to big dollars...it is not...

In fact:
Quote: What Google Thinks About PageRank
Let’s get started by going straight to the horse’s mouth. This is what Google itself says about PageRank:
“Don’t bother thinking about it [PageRank]. We only update the PageRank displayed in Google Toolbar a few times a year; this is our respectful hint for you to worry less about PageRank, which is just one of over 200 signals that can affect how your site is crawled, indexed and ranked. PageRank is an easy metric to focus on, but just because it’s easy doesn’t mean it’s useful for you as a site owner. If you’re looking for metrics, we’d encourage you to check out Analytics, think about conversion rates, ROI (return on investment), relevancy, or other metrics that actually correlate to meaningful gains for your website or business.” (Source: Google Webmaster Central FAQ)

Google’s Director of Research, Peter Norvig, said that PageRank is overhyped and probably needs a new name. Norvig went onto say that the public’s focus on PageRank is misguided and it may be time for a new name. Thank you.
That clears that up and means too many hours of my life have been wasted sodding around with that lol.
Thanks again! Hi Jim,
Thanks for making it clear. Can you please tell me those 200 factors that impacts search rankings.. yea that's true it is a very small thing but PR has its own importance in Google search . This signifies how relevant you are online ... higher the pr means high relevancy , which matters a lot when you want to build a reputation online. Yes it definitely does play a role in your SERP ranking. Although it isn't the only factor, in fact there are over 200+ factors, it does play a moderate role. typically page rank shows your site's reputation and many people over the web looks for page rank to determine the quality of website. Good Page Rank is achieved by good and quality link building they are both important in a website and Page Rank of a website it shows the reputation your site and if you have a good page rank the result of the SERP was good also. You guide well. I also believe that PR does not have much importance and always say to my friends. But the lines you copied from Google, in fact it is first time that I read. Now I will quote the thing as proof. Have a wonderful time. Probably a minor factor.

It looks like one of my websites will never be getting any PageRank but end of the day it gets 2k UVs a day and I am happy I stopped obsessing about PR long ago as it seems to only play a very small role in rankings. You can find plenty of examples online where a site or page with a low PR outranks another page with a higher PR in Google.

I try to focus on quality content and decent inbound links versus worrying about PR. About the only time I really pay attention to PR is when evaluating the level of competition for a keyword or phrase. Even then, it's only one small aspect I take into account. Just my on it. OR they should just get rid of that stupid green bar altogether. Renaming it won't do a thing. These days domain authority and page authority is getting high value than page rank. Ofcourse, content is the most important factor for any website. Page Rank is important in the website and even in the google search to determine the reputation of a good or less good Update:
I just checked one of my sites...#3 on Google..
Zero page rank......
nuf' said? High PR doesn't ensure that you will be on top SERPs but speaks for the credibility. I mean to say that Google bot recognize that you have the grip on your subject and spreading worthwhile information, but, without proper backlinking strategies it's hard to get SE juice. good PR make website reputation on internet, does it helpful on search engine ranking.

i find some website with low PR but getting good traffic on website using good search engine ranking.

Yes High page rank is not mean high search engine ranking... But if your are really thinking about does Google listing play role on page rank then I can say no I dont really think as they provide no follow links and not passed PR to links First off, I am not here to argue in favour of PR, just to make some observations. To me the evidence regarding PR is not consistent.
Yes Google does say exactly what is stated in the OP. But on a page updated just yesterday they said:

"Today our algorithms rely on more than 200 unique signals, some of which you
