Hi,

Do you people think PostNuke is any good?I do :)yeah if you can get passed the errors and lack of support form the main site, sure go ahead.OK, documentation is varied and often incomprehensible, but I installed it and got it up and running within minutes and I knew nothing about php at the time. Tweaking its behaviour and correcting its questionable English can take some time, but I've found quite a lot of general support is available from the forums at postnuke.com.then you are the first. I have heard nothing of bad things coming from that site. errors nobody can undertstand, support that says, it must be your server or lack of support.

if you haven't had any issues, then great, but I have heard nothing but.

and that is only someAh, well. All those threads are people struggling with PHPNuke -- and rightly so. By all accounts, it's a buggy, security-hole-ridden piece of crap, the problems with which were responsible for PostNuke's inception.

PostNuke on the other hand, while it certainly leaves a lot to be desired in terms of ease-of-use and documentation (a comment or two in the code would be nice), has worked flaswlessly for me, a confessed novice, since I installed it.ahhh geez, I thought we were talking aobut phpnuke :P my bad .....

seen one nuke and you think of the owrst one :)So what do you think about PostNuke, scoutt? Is it any good? What other decent content managers are there?haven't tried it and don't want to. I make my own :P

but I haven't heard bad things about that one.Originally posted by scoutt

As do I nowadays...but early on I had the misfortune of using PHPNuke,XOOPS,MyPHPNuke and PostNuke at different times. I found them to be extremely limiting and quite 'testy' or 'tempermental' if you will. I'd suggest that if you can...in any way possible..avoid using any of the above...do so...(these were used on a medium sized webmaster/designer/programmer community...)
