Here's my scenario...

1) Login to site set UID cookie value
Request.Cookies("UID").Value = http://aspmessageboard.com/archive/index.php/"MyLogin"
2) Redirect to next page read cookie just fine
<%="Cookie:" & Response.Cookies("UID").Value%>
3) Change drop down that causes postback, cookies are gone

Why does the postback destroy the cookies? Anyone know why this is happening? I've tried using the Response.AppendCookie(...) method as well and that has the same result. It's not specific to my machine either...I've tried it on others. What gives??

Thanks in advance.
KillroyIf you ever have the problem I mentioned please refer to article

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q316112

for information about it. It pertains to a security "fix" that microsoft put out. It is only a problem when referencing machine names.

Killroy
