POPUP Windows at Mouse Location?

hello, nice site, although I have never been here before, but anyway:

How can I open a new popup window from a hyperlink, and get the new window to be located at the place where the link was clicked.

I want to have a dropdown menu (popup), actually a chromeless window, that appears under the link, and will "overlap" the frameset. I can open the popup window, send links back to the parent and close the popup, but I cant get the popup to appear at the xy coords where the mouse was clicked.

Any help anyone can provide will be appreciated
thanks for your timesounds to me like a DHTML menu system might be a little better at doing what you need. Check out www.dhtmlcentral.com for some really good ones.but will a www.dhtmlcentral.com menu overlap the frameset? - most menus ive seen cant, they only drop down inside the page that initiated them, whereas a popup window would sit over the frameset.

I want the menusystem code in one page, but I would like that page (the header) to only be perhaps 60 pixels deep. The menu system will need to drop down more than 60 pixels.... bummer eh

Thanx for the suggestion, ive not looked at the above site yet, so I will do that next :)
