Server has wordpress installed on apache, running on windows. Just Create own name server Quote: I know the ecatel nameservers ns1.ecatel.net & ns2.ecatel.net Do they told you that?
If not, you need to create your own name servers via direct admin, webmin, or kloxo panel (if you have any) You need to register your own nameservers at godaddy where you have domain registered, then point that nameservers to VPS/DEdicated server IP and configure DNS in your control panel Hi,

Like everyone says, I also suggest you create your own nameservers ... ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com

Like that ...

Cheers,
Ryan Ok, so i have to install first one of those applications that allow me to create nameservers right? Will try...

Thanks everyone for the help! No, the name servers are registered at the domain registrar i.e. GoDaddy in your case. You have to use your server IPs while registering the name servers. After the registration, assign those name servers to your domain in the GoDaddy panel itself.

Then you have to create a DNS zone on your server for the domain to work. If you have a control panel like cPanel, Directadmin, Plesk etc on your server, the DNS zone will be created automatically when you will add the domain on the server. Quote: Originally Posted by SSK Hi, noob question...

I know the ecatel nameservers ns1.ecatel.net & ns2.ecatel.net ... If you are sure the nameservers above can resolve your domain, you have to set them to the domain in your godaddy account. Login into your godaddy account, find the domains and change their nameservers to the new ones. Or could use Cloudflare for your DNS.
