Hello webmaster,

I have client and his given SMO project our company before 1 month and after 1 month we have got this feedback.

"Thanks for the hard work for our website.
But we decide to stop the cooperation with your company.
Because we can not find any effect since you work for us,
But the reasult is that we can not find any effect.
Please refer to the attachment, this is from the Yahoo analystics,
We trust the data it offered, because the fact is just like this, The business is so bad this month, if the IP data is really so high as the Alex,
why the buyers are so little? the analystics is not the important part, the fact is important."

This client is more valuable for us. So please let me know what i write in my mail and what kind of mail more suitable for his and client come back few month. it will be highly appreciated please let me know

Because I write mail first time any client so please help and guide me

Regards We can't force client to return if we can't really give them their needed target for the month. How can you assure them that you can do your job well if they noticed something differently from your work. Maybe you found the most demanding yet strict client buddy. Well you have to tell them that traffic doesn't really mean sales and it will take more than a month to have an effect Do you best to explain that it may take more time than 1 month.

It doesn't sound like English is a first language with your customer so that could be a barrier also...

Maybe a phone call would be best? Huge traffic doesn't mean increase in sales or conversion. Let's say you help in increasing your client's traffic and yet there is no increase in sales that is already the problem of your client because your job is only to increase traffic. I agree with the fact that traffic doesn't always mean sales. This is due to another fact that most of the visits are only lurkers, window shoppers or the worse, not really interested with the service or product being promoted. However there's something you can do to increase conversion. That is to persuade them to subscribe, buy, opt-in or avail to your offer.

If the persuading part was handed to your by your client, then you are expected to not only increase the traffic but the sales as well. In this case, since the client has been unsatisfied, I believe what you can then do is to put forward your sincere apology. Or, if you can, ask sincerely for another extension with an assurance of gaining positive results.

However, if your obligation was just to increase the site's traffic which you have clearly done so fairly, then you can explain politely to the client that there has been no problem in getting traffic to their site and you have fulfilled your part according to the contract however their content just don't convert those visits you have gathered for them. Furthermore, you can give them kind advice and assurance that if they'd reinvent their sales pitches to persuade more every visitors, there's most likely a good chance to increase the conversion.

Basically, you just have to identify the root of the problem, layout possible solutions, and present facts to the client. There are too many factors to try and relate traffic to sales. Like bad product, bad price or client that does not understand IM.
That is why I will no longer build sites for clients.

Too much stupid....they expect miracles when they give you weak products or control your content.
