Please Help A Noob . SEO Tips

I know i could get SEO Tips anywhere on the net, but i wanted your advice, because i have quite a difficult problem.I have learned a lot about SEO just from reading these articles, but need clarification.If you take a look at my site http://www.the-liberation.com, it is primarily a members-only website, and is aimed specifically at the many players who already play online games like this, for this reason i have hardly any pages that can be access without logging in, i think it is because of this reason that google doesn't index many of my pages.Please could someone tell me the best tips to get traffic from google, and traffic in general to my site. PS... Please keep the jargon to a minimum, i am quite a noob when it comes to this ... or at least explain it ... Thanks a Lot....Please, just a little help.If Google has little to go on because most of your site is passworded, then your best bet is to optimize the page(s) that Google CAN get to, and then focus on offsite optimization - building backlinks for targeted keywords etc.First of all...you may want to change the color scheme. I can hardly read the black on the dark green.Few things:1/ Do some keyword research and find what keywords people are using to search for that are related to your site. The Overture Suggestion Tool will do just fine.2/ Optimize your homepage with a few of the more competitive terms.3/ As said above, create a few more optimized pages about your site. Search engines cannot fill out forms and cannot put in passwords, so any page that you have to do this to get to it...search engines are not going to see it.4/ Again like above, get a link's page up on the site and start exchanging links with related sites. This will improve your positioning for competitve terms.5/ Submit your site to directories like DMOZ, Yahoo Directory and BOTW.6/ Test ppc. This is an easy way to get some traffic to your site. You just need to make it profitable for you.
