We couldn't talk to the sales department since it was after hours but we purchased an account anyway based off reviews on the site. We had things set up relatively quickly, my partner didn't give me the email until the next morning but he said he got it shortly after purchase.
Right away I bombarded them with issues! Our iptables didn't work, we wanted security hardening on the server, HyperVM was constantly failing to respond on the 8888 port until iptables --flush was run, and even a question whether they'd support the main server with HyperVM or just the VPS. Their answer to the last question was along the lines of "We don't want to guarantee we can help, but we'll do what we can; we don't specialize in that." Excellent!
Quick response, less than 6 hours via their guarantee, and less than 3 via their average. I feel like I'm pestering them with all these requests but they still keep on helping. I ask them for advice and they give it as well, which is always a nice thing to have; I'm guessing most management places will say "You want to do this or not?" but they say "Well, A can be done or B," "We (do or do not) recommend this," and so on.
Not the most professional, but I feel a bit more relaxed with it because of that. The site is very basic, there's a few spelling errors across the tickets (wost case scenario instead of woRst case scenario), but overall I do indeed feel like I'm talking to someone who knows a bit about the field they're working in.
