I just purchased the services of PSM to manage my new dedicated box, which I just purchased over the weekend. They've made the transition from my VPS very worry-free, as I do not have to worry about locking the server down (which I know very little about) - I was really dreading hiring my datacenter to harden it ($150 flat fee! and an additional $150/hr if I need any further administration)I am also terrified of installing things to my server, SSH seems to me very easy to mess things up.. I am trying to learn it, but taking baby steps. If I need something immediately done, they can do it. I feel fortunate enough to have come across them while they still offer very cheap rates.. if I were to hire an actual server admin I'd be in the hole no less than $40k minimally..The only tickets which I had progress slowly was my initial server migration. I was initially hesitant to do this as one of my 2 sites have an extremely large arsenal of images and a database greater than 2M (no phpmyadmin import). While waiting on them to complete the ticket I got impatient and figured out how to do it myself - I felt a huge achievement for doing this myself and am actually glad they weren't super fast with doing it, the knowledge I gained can help me save even more $ in the future when I decide to purchase a backup server. The more basic tickets seem to get accomplished quickly than others. My ticket of installing GD library got resolved before I finished typing a friend an email last night (started the email seconds after I requested the installation) - very cool.I've only been with them a few days and so far I can't say anything negative.I have seen a few posts on here crapping on them for "taking long" with a ticket, but I just assume certain types of requests with them will be delayed, especially if they are all from the USA and not spread throughout the world like other 24/7 support centers. (Do any of us stay awake 24/7 waiting for our customers to complain? I don't) - the way I see it is, as long as my request is accomplished within a reasonable amount of time I'll remain a happy customer of theirs. I feel fortunate there's a company out there that exists that will do the dirty work on my server while I sit back and focus on running my website.
