Ive heard little bits here and there about pinging forum posts or blogs etc but Im not too sure what this is all about, can someone explain what it does and why you'd do it, is it to get it crawled by google? How do you go about doing this? Pinging is just a little thing that lets different search engines know that your blog has new content on it.
And it's as simple as using Ping-o-Matic! service here : http://pingomatic.com/ It just means that commenting in forums and blogs so that your website get connected to that website and when the google crawls the site then your site is also crawled. So is it advisable to ping every forum post you do and every blog comment etc or is that spamming in some way? Because most of the forums has an user interaction and has a daily fresh content... Thank you all for clearing my idea also about pinging. I was also unaware of the pining method. Pingging means to inform search engines that your blog is update now.
Come and index my blog and rank it in search engine OK i think I understand now thanks works great on forums that are not too active or if you just put a link in a profile

Pingler aggregates 91 search engines and blogcrawlers then pings them all with a single entry; an excellent time saver. is there a way to ping multiple website or I will just upload the list of website that needs to pinged and the pinler will automatically ping them?
