I've heard that google doesn't index or may not index php extension pages. If this is true, what can I do to get my pages crawled? I have one site on godaddy and I can't put the code in the .htaccess file that works in an apache server. I have some rss CARP code that works fine on the Apache server but not on godaddy unless I make the page Php. Anything I can do?skIt's not true. Google has no toruble indexing php and it has no trouble indexing pages with variables. Here is 114,000,000 dynamic php pages google has spidered and indexed.I would make sure you checkout:http://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.htmlMeman is right they have no problems indexing pages in php. Just be careful about the variables that show up in the URL. If you read the link I just provided it does say:Quote:Bigwebmaster wrote:Quote:I have urls with PR > 0 containing &id=<number> and I had no problems with Googlebot so far.Look at the urls of msn.com, shopping.com, yahoo.com and all other very popular websites.Search engines do not prefer URL's with & in them. If the people who wrote the popular search engines are going through the pain of REWRITTING URL For their dynamic websites, What does that suggest? Its fairly easy to make a SEO friendly URL anyway. Apache has inbuilt feature, and Asp.net Global.asax 5 lines of code does the job. Can be achieved with IIS too if you have the access....handaajay15 wrote:
